Workplace Training

Useful conversations in the room - and thinking that continues after it.

The Narrative Turn workplace programmes combine facilitated conversation, coaching approaches and reflective practice to help people feel a stronger sense of belonging, lead through better conversations and create space to think at work.

Designed for teams, leaders and cohorts, programmes can be delivered online or in person - creating useful conversations in the room and thinking that continues after people leave it.

The Narrative Turn

The Belonging Map

A Sense of Arrival

“Help people find their feet, use their voice and contribute sooner - without asking them to fit in.”

Getting people through the door is only part of the story.

The Belonging Map helps organisations understand and improve the conditions shaping whether people feel valued, able to contribute, connected and able to make their place - especially during the first 100 days.

The Six Conditions

Orientation

Recognition

Connection

Contribution

Voice

Possibility

Six conditions - not one belonging score.

First 100 Days

A strong start is about more than completing onboarding tasks. People can still be guessing at unwritten rules, holding back questions, missing useful relationships or waiting too long to contribute. The Belonging Map helps make those conditions visible.

A 90-minute working session for leaders, managers and People colleagues.

  • Up to 20 people

Larger pilot and flagship programmes are also available - full details are in the buyer brief.

The Next Chapter - Shape Your Place

For established colleagues ready to take stock of what has shifted and actively shape what comes next.

The Coaching Edge

Coaching skills for leaders

The Coaching Edge - practice before the moment matters

The Coaching Edge develops practical coaching skills for leaders and managers.

Instead of automatically providing the answer, leaders learn how to create better conversations, ask more useful questions and help people think for themselves.

What Leaders Develop

  • listening more effectively
  • asking better questions
  • creating space for people to think
  • balancing challenge and support
  • developing accountability
  • building confidence in others
  • knowing when to coach - and when not to

The Work Journal Experience

Reflection at work

This 90 minute workshop can be delivered online or on premises (London, Brighton and Hastings area).

The Work Journal by The Narrative Turn

The Work Journal introduces reflective writing as a practical tool for working life.

Short, structured writing exercises help people slow down long enough to notice what is happening, make sense of experience and think more clearly about what comes next.

This workshop introduces how reflecting in the flow of work helps you become clearer, more focused and able to see things in a different light.

What It Can Support

  • decision-making
  • leadership reflection
  • career development
  • learning from experience
  • navigating uncertainty
  • self-awareness
  • making space for better thinking during busy working lives

It can be delivered as a facilitated workshop and supported by a physical or digital journal.
